I’ve created a monster.
Only her third year on ski’s and Liz is already ready to tackle the back bowls of Vail. We are heading off to visit Jill in Denver, before a week of skiing at Vail.
The posts are coming but for now you can see our pictures on this link on the Archive page.
On top of all the great skiing (we had sunshine and powder the entire week) I:
1) left my credit card at the bar (it was used for late night pizzas) and had AMEX express me a replacement which took an extra day because of a blizzard in the mountains.
2) nearly killed myself on a traverse practicing edging. I went over the side of the traverse and nearly fell 20 ft into the stream at the bottom of blue sky basin. i was able to get my arms back over the top of the traverse but the instructor had to send patrol back to pull me out. I was stuck over the side for about 15 minutes after all the lifts were closed and was scared s-less. I could not get out on my own. RIDICULOUS!
3) was taken out my a 100 and nothing pound woman. i hit the ground so hard i tore my rotator cuff.
Other than that Liz is a pro now and we had a great time!
